MANILA, Philippines — Led by the consistent Vio Javier, the first “Kamanggagawa ni San Jose” tournament was a smashing success at the South Forbes course in Laguna recently.
Javier, a Top 10 finisher in almost all events he entered in the year, ruled Class A over Arnold Alvarez in the event set as fund-raiser to help defray the cost of a new church under construction in the area.
The other winners are Rudy Perez over Felixberto Salides (Class B), Henry Gonzales over Nolie Vela (Class C) and Francisco Gonzaga over Resty Ramillano (Class D).
“A wonderful tournament, our thanks to the sponsors,“ said Fr. Larry Abayon, St. Joseph parish priest. The event was organized by Ben Malabayoc and Joel Estingor.
