MANILA, Philippines — Golfers and parishioners from Canlubang and other areas tee off for the first Kamanggagawa ni San Jose golf tournament, a fund-raising activity for the New Church structure of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish (SJWP) in Canlubang.

The event unfolds Aug. 23 at the South Forbes in Silang, Cavite with an expected big turnout for the one-day tourney. Registration starts at 7 a.m., according to tournament officials Ben Malabuyoc and Jose Estingor.

“Hopefully we will have a big turnout, “said Rev. Fr. Larry Abayon, the parish priest.
