Team Philippines Olympic fan merchandise unveiled
MANILA, Philippines – Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, sports apparel brand adidas has officially launched the exclusive fan merchandise for Team Philippines.
On Wednesday, adidas launched the limited edition collection of apparel and accessories, including shirts, hats and tracksuits.
“Each item in the collection echoes the spirit of athletic excellence. Drawing inspiration from the official Olympic Outfits, the fan merchandise embodies and echoes the spirit of athletic excellence while introducing new elements,” it said in a statement.
The apparel will showcase a custom Team Philippines logo, which is “inspired by the majestic Philippine eagle.”
“This emblem embodies strength, resilience, and national pride. When you wear it, you’re not just supporting our athletes — you’re part of their soaring journey to glory,” adidas said.
The shirts and tracksuits will also have a striking graphic — the three golden stars and a sun — that “represent[s] unity, hope and the indomitable Filipino spirit.”
“Beyond supporting the Philippine delegation of athletes, coaches, and staff with Village, Training and Podium gear, a portion of the proceeds from the adidas fan collection will also benefit the Philippine Olympic Committee’s athlete incentive fund.”
The items from the Team Philippines collection could be bought at www.adidas.com.ph/teamphilippines and at selected stores in Metro Manila.
A total of 22 Filipino athletes punched their tickets to Paris, led by pole vaulter EJ Obiena, gymnast Carlos Yulo, and boxers Nesthy Petecio, Carlo Paalam and Eumir Marcial.
The Paris Olympics will start in the last week of July.
