MANILA, Philippines — Karl Benedict Wood exploded for 28 points as the Davao-NTB Wolves led opening-day winners in the PSL Global Challenge Under-20 event with an 82-73 drubbing of North America Monday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Meanwhile, Jaspher Kurihara and Don Wayde Basadre each tallied 27 points as Thailand’s Trail International School ran roughshod over UK-Kampi Basketball, 106-72.

For the Davao Wolves, also delivering were Peter Adabo and Keith Marquez as main guy John Eimrod Rodulfa, the reigning National Finals Most Valuable Player John Eimrod Rodulfa, were effectively neutralized by the opposing side.
