MANILA, Philippines -- The Cavite Blue Wahoos swimming club reigned supreme in the recently concluded Swim Battle first leg at the Muntinlupa Swimming Center in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City.

The Blue Wahoos scored a total of 650 points to claim the title in the tourney, which served as the sixth anniversary celebration of the Swim League Philippines.

They won over the South Warriors swimming team, followed by the Boa Say Resort Aquatic Club Piranhas and the Sharknado Swim Team.

Completing the top seven squads are the Swim Masters Swimming Team, the Turumba Guadalupe Swim team and the SEC Shark Swim Club.

Anika Unay, Dominique Savilla, Orianthi Gamboa, Mary Maurelle Montecillo, Eryza Buison, Mia Lee, Nicole Sy, Fabian Ramos, Ethan Joseph Parungao, Jacob Michael Blanco, Chad Louie Gabato, Benjie De Mesa, Seb Rafael Santos, and Lance Lopez were named the top swimmers of Class A.

Alexandra Nicole Battad, Alyanna Jaione Javier, Leanne Ashley Galvez, Yaxha Jale Doncesras, Lara Panganiban, Mikhaela Bliss Dula, Apple Margaret Abin, Beloved Kent Mendoza, Jude Matthew Andoy, Roshan Raeden Gargullo, Arthur Francesco Montesa, Robbie Mikhail Elomina, Rui Bryson Branzuela and Frank Johncent Preagola, meanwhile, were named the most outstanding swimmers of Class B.

Dozens of swimmers were also lauded as the most outstanding performers in classes C and D.

Some 750 swimmers, including children with special needs, para swimmers and those in the autism spectrum participated in the event.

Teams from Guam, Qatar, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia also participated in the event.
