Blackwater out to tie franchise-best start vs NLEX
MANILA, Philippines — “Keep pushing.”
That’s what Blackwater coach Jeff Cariaso is exhorting the Bossing to do if they want to keep up their lofty standing in the PBA Philippine Cup.
At 3-0, the Bossing hold pole position early in the conference, and rivals are truly taking notice and plotting seriously to bring them down.
“We’ve been here long enough to understand how quick it can turn so we want to continue the good things we’re doing now and improve on the things we need to improve on and it’s still a lot,” said Cariaso, whose crew is on track to match the franchise-best 4-0 start the batch in the 2018 Governors’ Cup posted.
“We’re still a young team. We have to keep pushing, stay focused and take it one at a time and putting all our effort on the one game that’s ahead of us,” added
What’s up ahead is a tough duel with NLEX (3-1), owner of a two-match streak, today at 4:30 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena.
The Road Warriors are bent on building momentum before taking a long break. After Blackwater, Frankie Lim’s charges resume their campaign on April 6 yet.
“Wala pang talo ang Blackwater and they have an improved lineup so (it’s a) big challenge for us,” said Lim.
