MANILA, Philippines — International contenders will square off with local hopefuls, all vying for Philippine Golf Tour cards in the Qualifying School slated March 5-8 at the South Pacific Golf and Leisure Estates in Davao City.

Toru Nakajima of Japan is eyeing another top finish as he leads a the foreign contingent in the eliminations. He asserted his dominance at Eagle Ridge and Royal Northwoods in 2015 and 2016 lost his card after skipping the subsequent tournaments.

Nevertheless, he is ready and eager to make a comeback, leading 37 other players from Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand and the United States.

Leading the local pros are Kristoffer Arevalo, Josh Jorge, Leandro Bagtas, Jonas Magcalayo and Ivan Monsalve.
