UAAP juniors volleyball MVP Shaina Nitura stays with Adamson for seniors bid
MANILA, Philippines -- Days after leading the Adamson Lady Baby Falcons to a sweep of the UAAP Season 86 girls volleyball tournament, Most Valuable Player Shaina Nitura has committed to the Lady Falcons for college.
Nitura, in a video posted by the school, said she will stay put and play for the Lady Falcons in the collegiate ranks.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Akari and Adamson community for supporting our Season 86 champions title,” she said.
“And for my next journey, I am happy to say that I will commit to Adamson and to Akari. And again, thank you for supporting our team, Adamson volleyball girls,” she added.
Nitura and the Lady Baby Falcons took home their first-ever UAAP High School title with a 14-game sweep.
The team then dominated National University-Nazareth School in the best-of-three finals en route to the championship.
Nitura was named the season MVP and Finals MVP.
