Filipino squads enter Predator League semis
MANILA, Philippines -- Filipino teams are heading to the semifinals of the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals after dominating the tourney's group stages.
DOTA 2 powerhouses Blacklist Rivalry and Execration are advancing to the semifinals of the tournament.
Blacklist, led by Abed Yusop and Kim "Gabbi" Santos, dominated Group A after a 4-0 steamrolling of the competition.
Execration also secured a semifinal spot with a 3-1 spot in Group A, with their lone loss coming at the hands of Blacklist Rivalry.
The two Filipino squads ended on top of Group A over Malaysia's Mythic Avenue Gaming, Philippines' ZOL Esports and India's Whoops.
China's Team Aster finished on top of DOTA 2's Group B.
In Valorant, Team Secret of the Philippines ended the group play undefeated following dominant performances against Malaysia's TODAK and Singapore's Ender Dragon.
The Philippines' Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports failed to make the playoffs.
In the final stages of the Predator League, Team Secret will be facing Team Flash from Vietnam, FAV Gaming from Japan and BOOM Esports from Indonesia.
The Japanese and Indonesian teams ended the group stages undefeated.
The grand finals will be held this weekend at the Mall of Asia Arena.
