MANILA, Philippines -- The San Miguel Beermen will be fielding a new import in the PBA Season 48 Commissioner's Cup.

The team has activated Bennie Boatwright, the league announced Friday, replacing Ivan Aska.

Boatwright, a 27-year-old forward, will see action during the Beermen's Christmas Day game against the Phoenix Fuelmasters.

The 6-foot-10 American had previous stints in the NBA G-League.

In his four-year collegiate career with the USC Trojans, he averaged 14.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

In his last contest with San Miguel, Aska had with a strong game in the Beermen's 98-93 win over the TNT Tropang Giga.

He finished with 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists against TNT on December 17.

Meanwhile, Calvin Abueva has been reactivated by the Magnolia Hotshots also on Friday.

The energetic Abueva has been inserted in the league-leading Hotshots' roster, in lieu of Jerrick Ahanmisi, who has been relegated to the team's injured/reserve list.

Converge FiberXers' Kamron Vigan-Fleming has also been activated, replacing Kevin Racal.
