MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine women’s national football team announced a 29-member squad for the Filipinas’ camp in Australia ahead of the 2nd round of Olympic qualifiers in Perth later this month.

The core of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad banners the team, with the likes of Sarina Bolden, Chandler and Olivia McDaniel, Alicia Barker, Angela Beard, Hali Long, and Tahnai Annis back in the squad for coach Mark Torcaso.

Meanwhile, Jessica Miclat returns to the fold for the national team after missing the last couple of tournaments, including the World Cup.

She joins the likes of veterans Camille Rodriguez, Shai del Campo, Quinley Quezada, Jaclyn Sawicki, Jessika Cowart, Reina Bonta, Sofia Harrison and Dominique Randle.

Also among Torcaso’s arsenal are goalkeepers Kiara Fontanilla, and Inna Palacios. Aaliyah Schinaman, for her part, gets her first call-up for the team.

Schinaman, though listed as a defender, plays forward for Berkley and the Oakland Soul.

Zoe Hudson, meanwhile, returns after attending the Manila camp. She plays for Box Hill United in Australia.

Wrapping up the camp roster are Eva Madarang, Anicka Castañeda, Sara Eggesvik, Kaya Hawkinson, Natalie Oca, Isabella Pasion, Isabella Flanigan, Katrina Guillou and Meryll Serrano.

The Filipinas play Chinese Taipei, hosts Australia and Iran in the hopes of qualifying for the next round and a chance to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
