Winning from within
The last two decades have seen growing worldwide awareness and understanding of how diet, mindset and exercise combine to help make one’s body perform more efficiently and with less injury. Less strenuous but more effective workouts, vegan diets and mental work have helped millions of people adopt a more holistic approach to wellness and performance. In those 20 years, The Farm at San Benito, an eco-luxury medical wellness resort sitting on 52 acres in Lipa City, Batangas, has been pioneering the various new ways to improve one’s physical well-being from the inside, from head to toe. It has won over 100 international awards for its successful, innovative health programs.
One of their consistently requested regimens is a three-night athlete and fitness program. It includes cellular health screening, vegan meals and nutritional juices, kidney cleansing, tests to assess one’s overall well-being, personal training, corrective movement, various therapies, and of course, use of the facilities. Most recently, The Farm has been halal-certified. Last Monday, the Miss Universe candidates from Arab countries arrived to spend four days at the resort to sample the cuisine and try the health programs.
Their latest program is based on “Kami No Ken,” a Japanese term translating “fist of God,” referring to the power of God within you. In many cultures, they believe in our connection to a higher power: id, ego, super ego; conscious, subconscious, superconscious; Father, Son, Holy Spirit. It is a self-transformation and self-improvement program to craft new habits and rituals to avoid the modern perils of illness. It trains the mind to overcome fear, distraction to achieve a higher state of being. It strengthens the will, which brings together the physical and spiritual worlds. The Farm successfully introduced Kami No Ken last June via a four-day stay, co-facilitated by celebrity couple Derek and Ellen Adarna-Ramsay. The pair will return for another engagement scheduled for Nov. 7 to 10.
”We look forward to continuing our shared mission of delivering meaningful experiences that promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being,” said general manager Preet Singh. “The powerful combination of The Farm’s expertise in providing life-transformative healing holidays and Kami No Ken’s self-discipline and transformational mind-body training deliver an unparalleled and impactful experience.”
The hope is that personalized training in Kami No Ken will help one find strength, confidence, persistence and endurance, and the capability to overcome old and recent emotional hurts. It also includes the principles of the Code of Bushido (the warrior’s way) to find the most honorable path to success. This provides the opportunity for you to experience all the tools that help you win starting from within.
