MANILA, Philippines — Chery Tiggo and F2 Logistics came into their showdown tipped as the two teams that could put a stop to mighty Creamline’s Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference juggernaut.

But Mylene Paat and the Crossovers emerged the better side at least in this match.

Delivering its best performance of the conference to date, Chery Tiggo hacked out a quick 25-19, 25-14, 25-16 rout of F2 to catch up with Creamline on top at the PhilSports Arena yesterday.

Paat showed she wasn’t the reigning Reinforced Conference MVP for nothing and unleashed a 22-point masterpiece to power her wily brigade to its third win in a row while underscoring their ability to challenge whoever they face for the coveted crown.

Not even the dreaded Creamline dynasty.

It also sent the Cargo Movers crashing back to earth and into a 2-1 card that also exposed several glaring weaknesses.

While Paat did a magnificent job, she, however, got a tremendous lift from all fronts.

It included Chery Tiggo’s other attacking arsenals in Shaya Adorador, EJ Laure and Cza Carandang, who fired at will and finished with 13, 12 and 10 points, respectively.

There were also setter Alina Bicar, who shone brightly in facilitating her team’s attacks and finished with 20 excellent sets, and libero Buding Duremdes, who mopped the floor with 25 digs and 13 receptions.

The Crossovers were so on point that they left the Cargo Movers utterly decimated and humiliated in what was the latter’s worst outing thus far.

It also left Chery Tiggo in collective awe of their fantastic effort.

“Buong puso talaga binigay ng players, ganda ng collaboration lahat ng members ng team,” said Chery Tiggo coach and manager Aaron Velez.

In the nightcap, PLDT ambushed Army Black Mamba, 25-19, 25-12, 25-21, to improve to 1-1.

The Lady Troopers dropped to 0-2.
