MANILA, Philippines — Three players will be suspended as the UAAP Season 85 men's and women's basketball tournament resumes on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

NU's Kean Baclaan, who incurred two technical fouls for infractions of faking a foul in their game against the DLSU Archers last Wednesday, will not be able to suit up for the NU Bulldogs when they face the Adamson Soaring Falcons at 11 a.m. at the Big Dome.

Baclaan netted his first technical foul with 5:31 left in the second quarter before he was handed his second technical with at the 8:43 mark of the third canto.

Both were whistled by officials as Baclaan "faking a foul". The two technicals resulted in his ejection from the game.

Meanwhile, at UST, both La Salle and Ateneo will be missing their foreign student-athletes in their women's teams as both Fina Niantcho Tchuido and Sarah Makanjoula will also serve one game suspensions.

La Salle, who is coming off a high after ending the NU Lady Bulldogs' 108-game win streak, will be missing Tchuido's contributions when they face the listless UE Lady Warriors at 1 p.m.

Tchuido was whistled for a flagrant unsportsmanlike foul when she was caught biting NU's Kristine Cayabyab with 2:19 left in overtime during a dead ball situation.

Makanjoula, for her part, was also tossed during Ateneo's game against UE last Wednesday when she hit UE's Kamba Kone in the face with a closed fist with 2:56 remaining in the opening salvo.

She thus misses out on Ateneo's final game of elimination against the UP Fighting Maroons at 3 p.m.
