MANILA, Philippines — Bowling icon Olivia “Bong” Coo will get a chance to extend her legendary career from the alleys of the sport she loves most to the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) boardroom as one of four commissioners.
The government sports agency confirmed yesterday that it has received the appointment papers from Malacañang of the four-time world champion.
Coo, 74, visited the PSC premises and had a photo op with officer-in-charge and executive director Atty. Guillermo Iroy.
“Congratulations to PSC’s new member of the board of commissioners,” said the PSC in a social media post.
The posts of chairman and three other commissioners have yet to be filled. Iroy said they’re “coming soon.”
