MANILA, Philippines — Manila Chooks TM crashed out of contention in the 2021 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Montreal Masters, absorbing back-to-back losses in the group phase against powerhouse squads Antwerp of Belgium and Edmonton of Canada yesterday.

The local club bowed to world No. 8 Antwerp, 21-11, before standing its ground in a close 21-16 defeat to No. 10 Edmonton in the Pool D preliminaries.

The Philippine representative finished 10th out of the 12 participating squads in the Canada 3x3 joust with a 0-2 slate.

Guard Mac Tallo paced Manila Chooks TM with 16 points in two games. Mark Yee, Dennis Santos and Zach Huang were the other players.

“We have no excuses,” said Manila Chooks TM head trainer Aldin Ayo.
