MANILA, Philippines — Filipina ace Yuka Saso closed out with a four-under par 68 to place joint 15th in the Women’s Scottish Open Sunday at the Dumbarnie Links in Fife, Scotland.
Saso, whose bid was hurt by her third-round 74, fired seven birdies against three bogeys to finish the tournament at seven-under 281 – 10 off the winning 271 of American veteran Ryann O’ Toole – and earn $21,266 (around P1.07 million) for her placing.
O’ Toole sizzled with a 64 to score a three-stroke victory over Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Lydia Ko of New Zealand, who fired a red-hot 63, and Atthaya Thitikul of Thailand, who carded a final-round 66.
