Olympian Fact Sheet: EJ Obiena (Pole vault)

Many observers believe EJ Obiena has a solid chance for a podium finish following a series of impressive pre-Olympic stints.

The multi-titled Obiena recently zoomed to the No. 6 spot of the World Athletics Men's Pole Vault Rankings after  entering the Top 10 just last year.

In Tokyo, he will face tough competition from world record holder Armand Duplantis, an American-born Swedish pole vaulter who is the favorite to win the gold.
