Sangalang makes The Apprentice finale vs Venezuelan rival
MANILA, Philippines — Louie Sangalang made it to the Final Two and moved closer to winning the inaugural “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” after a heart-stopping double-elimination round in Episode 11 late Thursday night.
Russia’s Irina Chadsey and United States’ Monica Millington were the latest contenders to exit the show, leaving the Filipino pride and Venezuela’s Jessica Ramella in a fiery one-on-one duel in the last two episodes next week.
The survivor of the renowned reality show’s MMA adaptation will earn a $250,000 job offer as ONE chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong’s chief of staff at the ONE headquarters in Singapore.
Sangalang and Ramella booked their tickets to the finals after conniving in an emotional pitch through Twilio’s technology with LOVE, NILS – a non-profit organization that provides support for cancer patients.
A cancer survivor himself, Sangalang with partner Ramella took ONE advisers into a wonderful journey and got the nod over Chadsey and Millington, who presented an equally great pitch to eliminate poverty with Habitat for Humanity Singapore.
ONE returned to team business challenges in the Final Four to determine the two finalists after just one “Dream Team” among the last five contenders in Episode 10, which Sangalang survived after near elimination.
Now in the final stop, Sangalang aims to go all the way and add ONE: The Apprentice title to his collection highlighted by a URCC championship and a semis stint in “Kamao: Matira ang Matibay,” the first boxing reality show in the Philippines.
Sangalang was also the first Filipino cancer survivor to finish the North Pole Marathon in 2018.
