SBC’s Sudan passes away

MANILA, Philippines — Sudan Daniel, the 6-foot-7 American who powered the San Beda Red Lions to an 18-game sweep of NCAA season in 2010,   passed away yesterday.

He turned 33 last Dec. 17.

Reports said Daniel suffered an asthma attack while vacationing in Calatagan, Batangas.

Daniel was named MVP in the NCAA Season 86 but suffered an ACL injury prior to the start of the next season, which San Beda also ruled.

At the time of his death, Daniel was the voice of the Chooks-to-Go 3x3.
