MANILA, Philippines — A day after incumbent Philippine Olympic Committee president and PhilCycling chief Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino announced his partial ticket, rival Clint Aranas of archery came out yesterday with a few of his own – handball’s Steve Hontiveros and athletics’ Philip Ella Juico.
Hontiveros is eyeing another term as chairman while Juico, who lost to Tolentino in the special election in July last year, will seek the first vice president position.
The former GSIS chief has also adopted rugby’s Ada Milby, who will run as an independent for the position of second vice president.
Tolentino announced Tuesday he will seek a second term as president.
Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas’ Al Panlilio and modern pentathlon’s Richard Gomez are running for first and second VPs, respectively, under Tolentino’s group.
