MANILA, Philippines — The PBA is eyeing a compact bubble tournament to last two months with the intention of wrapping up action by Dec. 10 or 13 at the latest.

Commissioner Willie Marcial, who has targeted a Philippine Cup restart by Oct. 9, said the idea is for players, coaches, team staff, and all parties to stay in the bubble for a manageable period and go home early for the Christmas holidays.

“We’re looking at finishing the eliminations in one month, then the quarterfinals in four to five days, then best-of-five (semis) and best-of-seven (finals),” Marcial said during yesterday’s Sports Page on One Sports.

The PBA is looking at all options for its games schedule.
