MANILA, Philippines — The TNT KaTropa are getting a good feel of life inside a “bubble” with their training camp at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.
Unlike the rest of the PBA teams which adapted the “closed circuit method” in Metro Manila and follow a strict home-gym-home routine, the KaTropa have opted to stay together in Calamba for their 20-day training.
“We’re doing good here. It’s nice to be back practicing and it’s great that we are here as a team together,” TNT team manager Gabby Cui told The STAR yesterday.
“It’s near-normal but of course we are hoping that we can finally play a PBA conference this year.”
The KaTropa’s training bubble may serve as a model for the setup the pro league is considering in resuming the Philippine Cup hopefully by next month.
