John Bryan Ulanday - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — Another member of the Gilas Pilipinas program has caught the attention of a top US NCAA Division I program.

Travis Roberts, a Gilas youth team prospect, has received a collegiate scholarship offer from Wichita State, which produced NBA players Landry Shamet of LA Clippers and Fred Vanvleet of Toronto Raptors.

The 17-year-old teen sensation has two more playing years left in Bishop Walsh High School in Maryland before deciding on his US NCAA jump.

The promising 6-foot-5 guard has also attracted interests from other D-1 programs like Bryant University and Southern Utah University.

The 7-foot-1 Sage Tolentino, who’s also a top prospect of Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas for the youth team, has likewise received offers from top D-1 programs Kansas, Kentucky and Auburn.
