MANILA, Philippines – Rising national team stars and Southeast Asian Games medalists Agatha Wong, Jamie Lim and Sisi Rondina take the spotlight this time when they grace the newest episode of ‘Women in Sports’ organized by Discovery Sports this Friday.

Wushu artist Wong, karateka Lim and beach volleybelle standout Rondina will tackle their biennial meet success and respective relief campaigns to help in the country’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

National team coaches Kat Quimpo and Haydee Ong will host the online discussion starting at 4 p.m. on Discovery Sports’ social media platforms.

Wong and Lim — who both copped SEAG gold medals — launched a five-episode series on Instagram named “Puso: The Battle Against COVID-19” last month. It gathered enough funds for the patients in the Philippine General Hospital and other key health facilities.

SEAG bronze medalist and former UAAP MVP Rondina, for her part, conducted an online jersey auction with the help from the collegiate, showbiz and pro-sports community for the frontliners of Barangay Luz in Cebu City.

This latest episode featuring young sports stars is a follow-up to the guesting of Filipina world champions Hidilyn Diaz, Nesthy Petecio, Rubilen Amit and Elma Muros-Posadas last time.

Aimed to highlight women empowerment in sports, Gilas Pilipinas women’s team players, national female referees and collegiate basketball coaches also graced the webinar since last month.
