Paul McCartney, Jennifer Lopez among big names in ONE Championship’s online concert series
MANILA, Philippines – Asia's leading mixed martial arts promotion ONE Championship is doing its part in battling the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the globe.
Their latest initiative in partnership with Global Citizen, dubbed "ONE World: Together At Home", will be a series of no-contact concerts and online content aiming to raise funds to fight the coronavirus.
A multi-hour broadcast of musical performances and appearances from the world's biggest stars like Alicia Keys, Amy Poehler, Andrea Bocelli, Awkwafina, Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift will be made available live on ONE Championship's official Facebook page and app on Sunday, 2 a.m. in Manila.
The event will also be replayed on Facebook, YouTube and the ONE Super App over a 24-hour period after the concert.
Apart from the no-contact concert, home workouts from ONE Championship's roster of athletes, including Filipino-American Brandon Vera, will be made available to encourage people to remain active at home.
Finally, ONE Championship is also donating 10% of net proceeds from its online merchandise store to the World Health Organization's Solidarity Response Fund.
