LGBA COTY series resumes
MANILA, Philippines — Bannered by 57 qualifiers, the 2020 LGBA Cocker of the Year series resumes with 114 fights lined up in the opening leg (seven-cock derby) today at the Pasay City Cockpit.
Participants shoot for the early lead in the COTY series as well as the championship in the event supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 and offering P1.6 million in prizes, according to Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association president Nick Crisostomo.
Meanwhile, 40 to 50 entries are expected in Pasay Cockpit’s next event, the annual Jerald’s Cup 4-Cock Derby on March 6 with Jerald Picazo as host. Ronald Barandino of Basilan, fresh from topping the National Cockers Alliance (NCA) 6-Cock Derby last Tuesday, will host the RCB Basilan 4-Cock Derby on March 13.
