Agence France-Presse

MANILA, Philippines — The National Cockers Alliance announced the holding of the banner NCA Derby on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City to be hosted by Gov. Casimiro “Ito” Ynares and Mayor Elan Nagaño.

The NCA under the leadership of Ynares said leading the field are Bong Pineda, Rep. Jospeh Sto. Niño Bernos, Rep. Paul Dy, Rep. Joseph Panganiban, Albert Dichavez and Mayor Goto. Their presence lends more prestige and popularity to the event and the association as well.

The NCA has lined up its next derby -- the NCA World Championship derby, four cocks on Jan. 14  and five cocks on Jan. 16, also at the Ynares Sports Arena. The participants will be fighting for the prestigious Senate President Tito Sotto’s trophy on top of the bragging rights.

Once again, the management of the National Cockers Alliance has vowed to strictly adhere to the association policy of sportsmanship, honesty, fair-play, transparency and camaraderie.

In addition, the NCA rules and regulations will be strictly enforced.
