LGBA eyes back-to-back feat as ‘Digmaan’ unfolds
MANILA, Philippines — The crowd-drawing series of the PFGB Digmaan 11-Stag National Derby, a nationwide stagfest with a guaranteed prize of P70 million, takes centerstage at Pasay City Cockpit today.
Last year’s edition drew a total of 5,941 entries with three emerging as co-champions: LGBA members Rhona Bullecer and Mark Cruz (Super Cailey),TJ Pua (Bravo) and Richie Obordo (RRNZ).
Members of the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) will banner the 4-stag semifinals supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
“It’s a big task for our group to emerge as back to back Digmaan champion,” said LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.
Participants with scores of 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5 and 6 points will have their final round at Pasay Cockpit on Friday while those with 6.5 points and 7 points clash on Dec. 16 at the Manila Arena for the grand finals.
Meanwhile, Tarlac VY led by Rep. Vic Yap and Romulo Balbalin of Itogon, Benguet emerged as team champion and individual champion, respectively, in last Friday’s Encuentro Big Event 5-Stag Derby Part 4.
