MCC names 11 co-champions

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Cockers Club, Inc. awarded a record-breaking number of champions during the 22nd MCC 7-Stag Breeders Festival at the world-class Cockers Arena in San Lazaro Leisure Park. 

The winners include JDT GF by Joel Tunay, 24K II by Nhelvin Henave, Maldyvette by Danny Espinosa, Jeniface/Redlakes PLB GF by Francis Silos and Percy Burgos, Alupay City by Sulpicio Canarias, Okidok & Son by Dr. Anthony San Juan and Mr. Gian San Juan, Double R GF/Kua Ruel Power Edge by Nomer Reyes and Ruel Carreon, Anito Con Nike by Don Mauro Prieto, Oliver Scire GF by Ding Herrera, Golden Royal by Hector Romulo and Red and Blue by Biboy Sison. 

The co-champions posted identical 6-1 records. 

Up next are MCC derbies on Dec. 1, 3 to 10 and Dec. 11 to 21. The club is accepting bakbakan, digmaan and salpukan banded stags with a derby weight limit of 1.700 kgs. to 2.200 kgs (give and take 35g from matched opponent). All derbies will have no entry fees and no minimum/maximum bets. Derby format of 3-stag eliminations and 4-stag pre-finals/finals will be followed. 

MCC features a line of champions which include 2018 World Slasher Cup-2 solo champion Rey Briones, Zaldy Padilla, Paolo Crisostomo, Cong. Amado Bagatsing, Jebe Gayanelo, Tony Espinosa, Gen. Katy Katigbak, Tony Aleria, Christopher Sioson, Danny Coronel, Peping Ricafort, Boyet Plaza and Atty. Felix Gatchalian.
