Spalding holds training sessions

MANILA,Philippines — Spalding Basketball will conduct training sessions at the Marikina Sports Center from Nov. 9 to Dec. 7 for kids from five years old to 18, with participants divided into three groups beginners, intermediate and advanced.

Sessions will be held on weekends, from 8-11 a.m. on certain days and 8-10 on other days.

For a minimal registration fee, the participants are given free Spalding basketballs, reversible jerseys, sports bags and towels, plus all the 16 hours of basketball training for several weekends.  Participants will also participate in an NBA style Skills Challenge, wherein they can bring home prizes like NBA colored basketballs, Bobby Parks Gold Medals for Basketball Excellence, and certificates, plus 3-on-3 games at the end of the training sessions.

Veteran trainers and coaches conduct the camp founded by the late Bobby Parks Sr. and current camp director Charlie Favis, former PBL commissioner.
