LGBA stag circuit resumes

MANILA, Philippines — The Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association Breeder of Year stag circuit second leg resumes today at the Pasay City Cockpit, with 2012 World Slasher Cup winner Ronald Barandino of Basilan leading the field.

From a field of 278 entries, Barandino (Jan. 10 Pasay 4-Cock RB Lucas Basilan) emerged as solo champion  with seven points in last Friday’s opening leg. Toto Gregore (22 GF Ormoc Joe), Larry Wacnang (Crowsland) and Dr. Rey Tamboong (RTT) bagged runner-up honors with 6.5 points each.

Qualifiers from the first leg will see action in the 3-stag elims today and on Friday. The 4-stag finale unfolds on Oct. 21.

Supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the LGBA circuit climaxes with the third leg on Oct. 25 and 28.

“It’s still a long way to go. Practically everyone has a chance to be included in the 2019 LGBA Breeder of the Year top 10 winners,” said LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.
