Dicky Lim crowned MCC 7-stag champ

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Cockers Club, Inc., the country’s cockfighting industry game changer, witnessed another solo champion in Dicky Lim during the third season of the 2019 15th MCC 7-Stag Breeders Festival recently at the Cockers Arena in Carmona, Cavite. 

Lim, the top Thunderbird endorser, and his entry Darpy emerged victorious after going head-to-head with the club’s toughest entries in the championship leg.

Lim faced Wow Bird of Victor Gregorio, Jailbird JDR of Jebe Gayanelo, and JLB GF 4/Erich GF of Geffrey Gatica in the eliminations, where he scored 2.5 points (win, draw, win) to advance to the finals. He successfully claimed the solo title after scoring an impressive 6.5 points against Angas ng Batangas 2 of Dino Marivic during the championship. 

The Winslet Gamefarm pioneer is a regular participant in the MCC Breeders Festival stag series. He believes that the new technology and innovations introduced by the Manila Cockers Club is key to further develop the sport of cockfighting in the country, and popularize it in the global stage. 

The newly-crowned champion will compete in the MCC Ber Months P70 million Circuit Derby from September to December. This will guarantee him a spot in the 25th MCC 10-Stag Mega Derby on Dec. 11-21.
