UNTV lead up for grabs

MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang-Philippine Sports Commission and National Housing Authority dispute the early lead in Group II elims while two-time champion Judiciary seeks a big rebound in the 8th UNTV Cup today at the Pasig City Sports Center.

The Malacañang-PSC Kamao and the NHA Builders clash at 5 p.m. while the Judiciary Magis take on the GSIS Furies in the 2 p.m. opener of the three-game bill presented by UNTV through its president and CEO Daniel Razon.

Battling in the lone Group I match at 3:30 p.m. are PhilHealth and Philippine International Trading Corp. with both teams determined to notch their first win after dropping their opening game assignments.

The Kamao are coming off a 64-60 come-from-behind win over the Magis that saw former amateur hotshot Eric dela Cuesta scatter 17 points.
