Meanwhile, the Air Force Jet Spikers kept soaring with another superb all-around game, clobbering first-round tormentor the BanKo-Perlas Spikers, 26-24, 25-8, 25-21, in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Later, Reinforced Conference champion PetroGazz matched Air Force five-game win run as it whipped winless Chef’s Classic, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18, to seize solo second with a 6-2 slate.

Air Force rode on the momentum of its stirring come-from-behind victory in the opening set and pounced on the disorganized BanKo-Perlas side in the next before holding sway to complete the victory and avenge its previous loss to the team in the same straight-set fashion last Aug. 17.
