MANILA, Philippines — After his three-year stint with Golden State, Kevin Durant is on the road to recovery and a fresh start with the Brooklyn Nets.
Aside from playing for a new team, the former MVP will also be sporting a new jersey number — swapping his iconic 35 for the number 7.
In their Instagram account, the Nets gave a sneak peek of Durant in a Brooklyn jersey.
Durant will likely miss most of the NBA season after rupturing his achilles in Game Five of the 2019 NBA Finals between Golden State and Toronto.
The two-time NBA champion signed a four-year, $164 million contract this summer and, once he fully recovers, will join forces with Kyrie Irving.
