LGBA 7-stag derby kicks off ‘BOY’ series
MANILA, Philippines – Prized bets slug it out as competition for the 2019 LGBA Breeder of the Year starts today at the Pasay City Cockpit.
The Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) in partnership with Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 will host today’s 7-stag derby, the first of a three-leg series that will culminate with the grand finals on Oct. 28.
Partners Jimmy Junsay and Dennis Reyes (Sto. Nino Guadalupe Jared) won as 2018 LGBA Breeder of the Year after amassing a total of 17.5 points.
This year, the LGBA Breeder of the Year top 10 finishers will all receive cash prizes and trophies, said LGBA president Nick Crisostomo.
For the first leg alone (Sept. 6, 9, 13, 16 and 18 and Oct. 3, 7 and 11) a guaranteed prize of P5 million awaits the winners.
The second group of more than 60 participants (90 to 100 fights) collide on Monday’s 3-stag elims.
