'No days off': Ateneo seeks UAAP three-peat
MANILA, Philippines — The Ateneo Blue Eagles are entering UAAP Season 82 with a target on their backs as every other squad is raring to drive them off the top.
Gunning for their third title in a row, Ateneo head coach Tab Baldwin knows his team cannot afford any slip-ups.
"Knowing that each opponent is gonna come at us really hard, I don't think we're gonna get any days off when it comes to games," Baldwin said in an interview.
"If we take a day off, it's going to hurt us," he added.
Ateneo's competition has just gotten harder with new recruits and revamped teams coming their way.
But Baldwin remains confident in their preparation.
"We've beaten that drum all through the offseason you know, to establish consistency and toughnes and that's what I hope we will respond with," he said.
Baldwin and the Ateneo Blue Eagles will hope to start their title bid strong on Wednesday when they take on the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
