UAAP to offer student discounts on tickets for Wednesday games

MANILA, Philippines — The UAAP will be having student-friendly prices for its Wednesday games to encourage students of member schools to come and support their teams live.

Spearheaded by season host Ateneo de Manila, the UAAP introduces "Student Wednesdays" where tickets for Upper Box and General Admission in both the SMART Araneta Coliseum and the SM Mall of Asia Arena will only cost Php 35 each.

"We want to encourage more students to watch. With social media, the gamer are easily accessible, but nothing beats watching the games live," UAAP President Em Fernandez said in a statement.

This UAAP Season 82, there will be four games on Wednesday. One women's game at 8:00 a.m.followed by three men's matches at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The venue will be cleared after the 12:30 p.m. game and a separate ticket will have to be bought to watch the 4:00 p.m. game.

This discount will be available for students throughout the elimination round.
