MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas has landed in Guangzhou, China, two days before the 2019 FIBA World Cup kicks off.
The Filipino cagers arrived in China Thursday afternoon after wrapping up their World Cup preparations in the Philippines.

The 12-man roster along with head coach Yeng Guiao are set to begin their World Cup campaign when they face Italy on Saturday.
President Rodrigo Duterte is also in China to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping for his fifth visit to the country.
Duterte will watch Gilas Pilipinas' game against the Italians on Saturday.
