MANILA, Philippines — The three-day finale of the Luzon Breeders Cup (LBC) 9-Stag Derby series, with P10.75 million at stake, gets underway today at the Pasay City Cockpit.
Gamefowl breeders from Palawan, Mindoro, Ilocos, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal with 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5 and 4 points each plunge into today’s 4-stag finals backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000.
Day 2 tomorrow is for members of the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) which contributed close to 500 entries in the LBC series.
The champion or champions will be known after the grand finals (for those with 4.5 and 5 points) on Friday.
LGBA president Nick Crisostomo said 52 participants tallied five points apiece and 17 with 4.5 points for a total of 69 grand finalists (138 fights).
“This three -day battle will have at least 100 fights per day,” said Crisostomo.
