Cedrick Bravo, Corazon Lambonao favored in Baybay
MANILA, Philippines — Cedrick Bravo and young Corazon Lambonao gear up for a tough outing in their quest for honors and ranking points in two divisions in the PPS-PEPP Baybay national age-group tennis tournament, which got underway yesterday at the Baybay City Tennis Club in Leyte.
Bravo gained the top seeding in the boys’ 18-and-under play that also includes John Martin Alejandria, Joshua Torres and Darcy Orag while Lambonao shoots for the premier title in the girls’ side of the Group 2 tournament against the likes of Mia Gemida, Joan Gonzaga and Mae Ramos.
Bravo, Orag and Alejandria look to dispute the 16-U crown that features Nicolas Ocat, Cymer Casem, Daniel Apostol and Rick Laguna while Lambonao and company are likewise tipped to slug it out for the 16-U plum in the four-day event presented by Dunlop.
Gerald Gemida and Ocat, along with Bert Manlimus and Justine Hermoso, are expected to mix it up for the boys’ 14-U diadem in the event serving as part of the biggest and longest national age-group circuit put up by Palawan Pawnshop headed by president/CEO Bobby Castro.

Lambonao is actually shooting for a rare three-title feat as she is also entered in the 14-U category that also features Mae Ramos, May Impas Kate Dayanan and Kimi Brodeth.
