MANILA, Philippines — The Luzon Breeders Cup (LBC) 9-Stag Derby series resumes today at Pasay City Cockpit, with Mandy Garcia of Batangas leading the participants with five entries.
Garcia missed the LBC championship last year after losing his last fight to settle for runner-up honors with eight points.
Already qualified in the semifinals on Aug. 16 with two wins each are 17 gamefowl breeders led by James Uy of Manila, whose other entry posted five victories in the set A group.
Other two pointers in the event supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 include Jun Lovendino, Jervy Maglunob, Ivan Dy, Nestor Vendivil, Sandy Palito, Alex Bocol/NMC, Anteng Bullecer, Toto Gregore, Pinggoy Lagumbay, Andrew Malabag, Edwin Lumbres, Engr. Nong, Leo Gutierrez, Nelson Uy/Dong Chung, RJ Paras and Dr. Ric Tamboong.
Gamefowl breeders may join another elims round on Monday at PCC, said LGBA (Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association) president Nick Crisostomo.
LBC fights also unfold today at Cagayan Cockpit Arena and tomorrow at Talogtog Cockpit Arena, Darasa Cockpit, Manila Cockers Club and New Gentri Sports Complex.
