‘Bakbakan’ derby goes nationwide
MANILA, Philippines — The “Bakbakan Early Bird” 9 - Stag Derby, a P10 -milion super stagfest, goes nationwide with seven qualifying rounds scheduled simultaneously today in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Luzon participants belonging to the United Ilocandia Gamefowl Breeders Association (UNIGBA) clash at Vigan Cockpit in Ilocos Sur while Quezon Cockers and Breeders Association (QCBA) members compete at Lucena Cockpit Arena in Brgy. Domoit, Lucena City.
Cockfight enthusiasts of the Visayas gather at Valencia Sports Center in Ormoc City (Gamefowl Breeders Association of Eastern Visayas) and Gallera de Mandaue in Mandaue City, Cebu (Sugbo Gamefowl Breeders Association) for the 2-stag elims.
Mindanaoans plunge into action in three venues: Koronadal Sports Complex in South Cotabato (Socsargen Gamefowl Breeders Association), Gusa Sports Complex in Cagayan de Oro City (Northern Mindanao Gamefowl Breeders Association) and Talon Talo Cockpit in Zamboanga City (Zamboanga Gamefowl Breeders Association).
