Alvarez leads participants in LBC stagfest
MANILA, Philippines — Upcoming gamefowl breeder Mapher Alvarez of Laguna banners the 70 participants in Pasay City Cockpit’s Luzon Breeders Cup (LBC) 9-Stag Derby (set B) today.
Alvarez, owner of Luisiana Coliseum in Laguna and one of the early grand finalists on Aug. 30 with five points, will field five more entries.
Supported by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the LBC stagfest is a joint undertaking of Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA), breeders groups/cockpit operators of Luzon and Sagupaan Agricultural Products Inc.
Also seeing action today are Jun Sevilla, Ramir Navas, 2018 World Slasher Cup champion Anthony Lim, James Uy, Nestor Vendivil, Jon Lasco, Andrew Malabag, Edwin Lumbres, Allan Ke, LGBA treasurer Gerry Escalona, Zaldy Austria, Edwin dela Cruz and Allan Cantal.
Two more elims round for set B will be held on Aug. 9 and 12 and qualifiers will advance to the semifinals on Aug. 16.
Participants may field ‘early bird’ stags banded by LBC, Bakbakan, Digmaan, A -Cup, BNTV, Panay EBC and PSCBC.
