Reports: JJ Redick begs off of Team USA World Cup training camp
MANILA, Philippines — Newly minted New Orleans Pelican JJ Redick is the latest NBA star to withdraw participation in Team USA's FIBA World Cup stint this August.
As per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Redick declined the inclusion in favor of working on transitioning to New Orleans for the upcoming NBA season.

Redick reportedly had a 'tremendous desire' to participate in the Team USA training camp before deciding to opt out.
Earlier this week, big name stars like James Harden and Kevin Love also announced that they will not be playing for Team USA come August 31 in China.
Team USA had added six more players to the training camp Friday after more than a handful of players withdrew their participation.
The American cagers have won two of the last FIBA World Cups in 2010 and 2014.
