John Dizon, Miguel Quinones favored in Super Karting

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — John Dizon and junior campaigner Miguel Quinones eye a repeat of their victories in the kickoff leg when they set out as favorites in Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2019 Petron Blaze 100 ROK GP Super Karting Series today and tomorrow at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.

Karting’s 2018 Golden Wheel awardee from Edgesport Racing, Dizon completely dominated reigning Asian junior champion Bianca Bustamante in the qualifying heats and the final race to clinch the ROK GP Blaze 100 overall and senior titles in Round 1 in Puerto Princesa City last June.

Dizon skipped the Palawan leg’s Round 2 topped by Quinones over Jennifer Tumambing and Bustamante, who now vies in the senior class.

Miguel Judd Angeles starts out as the prohibitive pick in the Mini ROK class against the likes of Joharry Victor Suba, Melwin William Tan, Brice Vincent Baisa and Mariano Axel Nocom.

The second of the six-leg annual series sponsored by Petron also features Cadet and Intermediate races presented by the Petron Motorsports Karting Academy.
