Cavs' Sexton, WNBA great Ticha Penicheiro to grace Jr. NBA camp

QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Cleveland Cavaliers young gun Collin Sexton and WNBA Hall of Famer Ticha Penicheiro are set to visit Manila for the Jr. NBA National Training Camp this May 18 and 19, the NBA announced on Thursday.

Ballers chosen from five regional selection camps all over the country will be able to get up close and personal with the basketball stars.

Sexton and Penicheiro will help select the top five boys and five girls from the 80 campers who will be named Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars.

They will also serve as assstant coaches in a Jr. NBA Alumni All-Star Game.

Sexton was the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and avaraged 16.6 points, 3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in his first season with the Cavaliers.

Meanwhile, Penicheiro is a WNBA Champion and four-time WNBA All-Star. She was also named as part of the WNBA's Top 14 Players of All Time. 

Penicheiro played most of her career with the Sacramento Monarchs.
