UST's Sisi Rondina brushes off MVP talks, keeps focus on title bid
MANILA, Philippines — UST star Sisi Rondina was a force to be reckoned with in their playoff against La Salle in the 81st UAAP women's volleyball tournament on Wednesday.
Scoring 29 points, the graduating hitter was easily the brightest spot for the sizzling Tigresses.
And the Espana faithful present in the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan knew it.
Every time Rondina goes to the service line, loud chants of "MVP" echoed throughout the arena.

With her performance all season long, it isn't far-fetched for the Espana-based volleybelle to win the best player plum.
But the individual award couldn't be more far from Rondina's mind.
"Wala, wala sa track ko yun... Yung gusto namin sa team, magfa-finals kami," Rondina said after their victory against La Salle.
Playing her fifth and final year with the Tigresses, she only has one thing on her mind.
"Every time na pumupunta ako sa game yun lang: manalo, manalo at magtiwala lang na kaya namin," the UST skipper said.
Rondina and the rest of the Espana squad are going into the Final Four with a twice-to-beat edge against defending champions DLSU.
Despite having the privelege of the twice-to-beat bonus, the high-flying spiker isn't going to let up.
"Di pa tapos yung liga kaya magttrabaho kami," she said.
UST faces off with the Lady Spikers on Sunday.
