Summit Point Invitational tees off tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines — Buoyed by the success of the tandem raffle last year, Summit Point Golf and Country Club is all set to introduce another novelty when it hosts the 12th Invitational member-guest tournament which fires off tomorrow in Lipa, Batangas.

Summit Point, whose World 18 layout has been getting raves for its top notch maintenance and challenging layout, is handing out 10 international tour packages as grand prizes – an innovation different from the usual practice of giving away cars or carts.

“The tandem raffle, wherein the guest wins whatever the member gets, will again be part of the Summer Shindig-type of awards night, which Okada Manila will sponsor, and will continue as the club’s tradition,” said SPGCC president Robbie Leviste.

“Our theme has always been fun and competition and we want to keep it that way. By innovating and thinking of ways to improve, we are able to give the enjoyment and satisfaction to members and guests when playing the Invitational,” he said.

Hole-in-one prizes are Peugeot 308 from Peugeot Lipa, Yamaha cart from Kart Plaza, Yamaha RS 110F from Venture Motorcycle, cash prizes from VMJ and New Canaan Insurance, Okada packages, a Cobra King F7 iron set with Puma bag and Mission Hills Package from Mission Hills Haikou.
